Bons comptes, bons amis is a collection of 12 books for youth ages 9 to 12 that address financial literacy and citizenship education to promote personal and community success.

At school, a big event is announced, a race and fundraiser for the Youth Sports organization. Lisa already sees herself as the winner of the race. Theo, on the other hand, wants to win the prize for best fundraiser, because he needs money to start a business. While Lisa laughs at him, Theo is slowly training for the race, while continuing to collect donations. When faced with moments of discouragement, he follows the advice of his uncle Serge. Theo, like Lisa, redefines what it means to "win" the race.
